چکیده
In this study, a low-cost bioadsorbent aluminum metal blended with groundnut shell activated carbon material (Al-GNSC) was used for Cr(VI) adsorption from aqueous solutions. Al-GNSC prepared and characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopic (SEM) X-ray diffraction (XRD) to determine its surface morphology. Batch studies were performed the optimum conditions maximum removal (of 94.2%) found at pH 4.0, initial concentration 100 mg/L, adsorbent dosage 8 g/L of solution, time contact 50 min. Moreover, Langmuir isotherm model (maximum capacity 13.458 mg/g) best fit favored mono-layered adsorption. The kinetic reveal that pseudo-second-order chemisorption as rate-limiting step. desorption study revealed leached sodium hydroxide solution acted regenerating agent. It is proved removes content in groundwater samples. methodology developed an alternative ions remarkably successful study.

Adsorption of Zn (II) from aqueous solution by using chitin extraction from crustaceous shell
Removal of toxic heavy metals from wastewater is an important environmental challenge. In this Study, Zn (II) removal from aqueous solution by chitin extraction from crustaceous shells (shrimp and crab) was investigated. The biosorption studies were determined as a function of contact time, pH, initial metal concentration, and the amount of adsorbent. Adsorption of Zn (II) increased with decrea...
متن کاملAdsorption of chromium ions from aqueous solution by using activated carbo-aluminosilicate material from oil shale.
A novel activated carbo-aluminosilicate material was prepared from oil shale by chemical activation. The chemicals used in the activation process were 95 wt% sulfuric and 5 wt% nitric acids. The produced material combines the sorption properties and the mechanical strength of both activated carbon and zeolite. An X-ray diffraction analysis shows the formation of zeolite Y, Na-X, and A-types, so...

Removal of chromium (VI) from aqueous solution by adsorption using cousinia eryngioides boiss and activated carbon
Adsorption capacity of Cr (VI) onto cousinia eryngioides boiss, activated carbon was investigated in a batch system by considering the effects of various parameters like contact time, initial concentration, pH, temperature, agitation speed, absorbent dose and particle size. Cr (VI) removal is pH dependent and found to be maximum at pH 2.0. The amounts of Cr (VI) adsorbed increased with increase...
متن کاملAdsorption of Lead from Aqueous Solution by Modified Beech Sawdust
Sawdust is now being investigated as an adsorbent to remove contaminants from aqueous solution. Heavy metals can be decreased very effectively with the organic material. In this research, adsorption of Pb (II) onto modified beech sawdust in a batch system was investigated. Sawdust was collected from timber mill of Qom, Iran, and modified with H2SO4 and NaOH. Then, the effe...
